XXL Freshman hopeful XV assists the Inception-inspired, DJ Tech-Neek-produced “The Kick” with a visual. Like me, a fan thought the Kyle DePinna-directed video doesn’t compliment the introspective lyrics well. However, XV explains,
“The concept fits me being in this world that doesn’t seem REAL to me. Rolls royce phantoms and thousand dollar suits is that.”
My favorite line occurs at the opening of the song.
